Balboa Steaks was brought to life by the Osmanollaj brothers—Leo, Pep and Jim—the same team behind M2O Group. Like the city that inspired us, we believe in heart, hustle and showing up ready to go the distance.

We built this place as a tribute to Philly’s fighting spirit and legendary cheesesteak culture. That means 100% ribeye, melted Cooper Sharp, fresh Aversa seeded rolls and every sandwich made to order. No frozen meat. No shortcuts.

Our first shop opened in the heart of Newark, Delaware, steps from the University of Delaware. Newark has its own energy, and we’re proud to bring a little South Philly grit to Chapel Street.

We are not trying to reinvent the cheesesteak. We are here to respect it, serve it right and make every bite hit harder than the last.
